3-9-2017 – Kiwi Flats on Mammoth Mountain is one steep and mean run. It’s only skied able in the big snow years. So with a 30 foot base and the conditions just right Ryan Hurley goes for it. He had planned this route out for weeks.
(Over the years this run as also been called Star Chute, however the Star Chutes are on the other side of the ridge. See the maps below.) This run is named after Mammoth legend, John Armstrong.
